Lucy Lui as Jawn/Joan in the CBS Elementary (Aka Sherlock)?

Watch. We’ll finally get our J…oanlock shipping. But it’ll be FemJawn and Sherlock. (Not necessarily a bad thing, but…I wish we didn’t have to make it heterosexual to get it.)

I won’t judge it until I see it, but it has such high standards to live up to with Sherlock doing so well right now, on top of the RDJ/Jude Law movies. And it’s alienating a huge part of the Sherlock fandom by taking away the male (b)romance we enjoy so thoroughly.

That’s not to say the possibility for enjoying this heterosexual fanfiction of a TV series isn’t possible, but why not just say it has Sherlock Holmes roots? Why twist the roles so thoroughly and yet still call it Sherlock? 

I’m just baffled by their thought process here.

(Edit) I am not against their choices. I’m just questioning them. Won’t knock it until I see it.
